The Tax Woman Cometh!
Most
people don't want the Receiver of Taxes to visit them. Not the Museum, it
openly welcomed Deanna Varrichio to a tour of the exhibits. Deanna has for
years prior to her present position been an avid patron of the town project.

Superintendent. Dr. Mary DeRose, Superintendent & Deanna Varrichio,

Thank You!
That
is James Shanahan in the center. His partner Dave Simon and he have once
again shown their regard and interest in Museum projects. The young
businessmen donated a bench to the newly developed Patriots Grove dedicated
to Kings Park World Trade Center victims.

Mary DeRose, Superintendent, and Ed Hogan Board of Education Trustee

the Museum.

Junior Driver
It
doesn't get much better than this! Indy Lijmer of Belgium gets to sit in the
Museum's 1929 truck and gets a special guided tour of the Museum by
Assistant Superintendent Ruth Rosenberg. Indy's father is a Kings Park
graduate who moved back to Europe and is back in the US on holiday.

New Recruits
If
one ever wonders about the quality of young people consider Michael Leary
and Sharif Zamayar, 5th Graders in the RJO middle School. The two presented
themselves to the Museum to be volunteers. They wanted to spend the major
part of their lunch period helping on any project. They are now in charge of
cleaning and maintaining all models and small displays. Makes one feel
comfortable about the future generation.
