Reaching A Goal

By Ken Kraska

(LtoR) Chamber Directors: Tony Tanzi, Ed McElhone, Jack Hessel presenting the award to
KP Soccer Club President Joe Piacentino and Members

Members of the Kings Park Soccer Club can raise their heads with pride. Over the past several years the club has contributed quite a bit to the Kings Park Community. One of their "goals" was to make Tiffany Field at the Nissequogue River State Park, a show piece and the envy of other ball clubs. Looking at the changes the field has undergone over the past few seasons one can clearly see the fruits of their labor.
Recently, the Kings Park Chamber of Commerce recognized the Club and bestowed upon them a plaque commemorating their efforts in restoring and maintaining the field. Their hard work has given hundreds of the community's aspiring soccer players of all ages a first rate athletic complex where they can safely train and play.

Great Job!

Team Effort

By Ken Kraska

The Smithtown Historical Society takes pride in caring for Smithtown's historic treasures. Kings Park residents also take pride and are always there to volunteer and lend a hand in what ever needs to be done. The Kings Park Heritage Museum assembled a special task force to help do some sprucing up assembled some of Kings Park's best. Their task force was made up of members of the Kings Park High School Football team, their coach Mark O'Brien, Athletic Director Michael Quigley and volunteers from Smithtown Historical Society. Supported by the Smithtown Historical Society Trustees and staff the Kings Park volunteers accomplished a summer's worth of work in single summer's day!

Way to Go Kings Park!
