Farewell Friend

 By Ken Kraska

Leo Polaski
1937-2006

You never know how much impact a person has until they are gone. Leo Polaski was not only gentlemen and a scholar, but he was a friend in the true sense of the word and one who could always be counted on.

Leo's quick wit and kind heartedness will be greatly missed.

Kings Park... At A Loss

 By Ken Kraska

Edward Hogan
1945-2006

If there were ever someone who could personify what it means to be a Kings Park resident, one of the first names which come to mind would be Ed Hogan. Always there for his family, friends and community.

Ed was the quintessential Kings Parker and he will be greatly missed.

Tis The Season...

 By Ken Kraska

(LtoR) Bobby Haney & Robert Brown

Baseball season that is. Special thanks to Kings Park alumnus Craig Biggio. The Houston Astro second baseman generously donated $25,000 in support of Kings Park's athletic department. Ten thousand dollars was allocated to the district's football program and fifteen thousand to their baseball program.
Part of the funds received were used to purchase the new electronic score board at the school. To show their appreciation Kings Park High School named the home turf  "Craig Biggio Field", after their benefactor.

 Way To Go Craig!

Stop The Sale...
Cleanup Your Mess...

 By Ken Kraska

The chant once sung 'round the Park was heard and acted upon as promised. True to his word, Senator John Flanagan was able to stop the proposed sale of the KPPC property to the Cherokee Arker group.
Additionally, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of Senator John Flanagan, included in New York State's budget is an appropriation for $25 million to be used to help fund the cleanup of the Kings Park Psychiatric Center Property.

GREAT JOB!  Senator Flanagan...
